Title: Dinocide - Discussion
Post by: Lurler on October 15, 2015, 08:58:11 PM
Dinocide is a classic NES inspired old-school single-player platformer in a prehistoric fantasy world.

The protagonist has to save his love interest who was kidnapped by an evil and mysterious Dinosaur God. You are accompanied by your own tame Dinosaurs, who acts as a mounts, brother in arms and a true friends. With their help, you can jump higher, run faster, swim, fly and do a lot more things that an ordinary primitive man would never be able to do by himself. To reach your goal, you will travel together through the lands inhabited by ancient creatures and unknown dangers.

Awesome, thank you! :)
And yeah, we hope this game will be a success as well. We put quite a lot of work into it already and it becomes better and better with each day it is closer to release.

Is the price going to stay 10Γé¼ or it's a preorder offer ? If it will be 10Γé¼, then why it's less expensive than Void ? New games should be more expensive, shouldn't they ?

Are you seeing Dinocide as a "small game" before you move to a larger project, or is Dinocide "large" ? From what's i've seen it seem not very deep or long, but i may be completly wrong.

Anyway, i like your studio and the way you've developped Void, fully open to community talks, and i'm preordering Dinocide right after i click Post.

Technically the price is $10, that is 9.2Γé¼ :)
And yes, the price is going to be the same for the release version. We just wanted to give the opportunity to people who want to support us to buy the game a bit earlier.

Yes, you could say it is a "smaller" game. It doesn't say anything about how fun it is, though. Because it is a total blast. I am going to be totally honest with you. When I actually booted the finished demo myself and played a level that another person on the team made - it was awesome. I really felt like it is good old times again and I'm playing NES :)
So for it being "small" - we really wanted to make something like this before we attempt another 2 year+ project and so far it seems that the result is very nice and was definitely worth it!

Thank you for the support! :)
I hope we can continue meeting the community expectations with this and our other future projects!

And Dinocide is now greenlit!

Well, we never doubted that we would pass the Greenlight very quickly this time, but we were a bit surprised just how quickly :)
