cargo space on bigger ships
« on: April 14, 2015, 03:50:24 pm »
Unsure if it's been asked before, but why don't cruisers have more cargo space by default?

I'd think that a larger ship would have more cargo space, or items space for that matter.

It seems weird that a large cruiser would have less cargo space than a civilian shuttle.  I'd think that each class of ships would have a default minimum cargo space of 100, 200, 300, and 400.

Presumably that 'extra space' would be taken up by more armor and better energy/supply systems for the increased weaponry the bigger ships field. Warships vs Cargo ships and all that. You also have skills to double the amount of cargo a ship can carry. It also makes ships like the stingray(mk2) and freighter have a use/point.
