Thank you for the report.
We will investigate what could possibly cause this. Although I am sure that is because of WinXP compatibility, since this OS is no longer supported by microsoft, so some new API or whatnot could be missing which may be causing this issue. Either way we will try to find a solution.

Also, glad that you like the game :)

Thank you for reporting the issue. We are working on several fixes right now and they should be ready by the mid of end of the coming week.

As for nav markers - it is one of the feature that is planned for next big release.

No, unfortunately acceleration is not possible yet.
I had some ideas about it, about missiles that pop out of your ship and then start acceleration only after about a second. But since it is definitely not a priority there is no such an option yet.

Great update.

Though, what is wrong with skills? You can add your own effects and new skills - no problem. At least I am not aware of any problems in this particular area.

Not yet, since we haven't actively started doing it. These were only prototypes to see if it would work at all.

It's true. We were prototyping some devices such as EMP, but they are not yet in the game, since they aren't "cool" enough yet, and we would like spend some more time working on it before releasing :)

Well, all dialogues with NPC _are_ scripts. That's the only way to make it really free from any constraints. It allows to make pretty much anything this way.

From what I can tell - most people play SP. But I am sure once the game hits steam we will see a lot of new servers popping up.

If you want to change the quest you need to edit the topic script. It is in the topics folder. You can change all contents there.

As for other things you mentioned - it is unfortunately still somewhat a mess since it is work in progress :) We will get to it eventually, as well as create a much more detailed tutorials on our wiki with all required information for modding.

You know. I noticed that most of the discussions on this forum take place between community and the developers. It's good, but the problem is, if you people don't talk to each other we won't be able to actually build the community into anything bigger than what it is now :)
But I am not sure what can be done here to change that.

It is an application that we use to create ships and other objects for the game ourselves. It allows you to adjust collision box for the model.

Really appreciate the detailed description for the bug and steps to reproduce. This will really help to find what is causing this.
And yes, if possible uploading logs would really help. You can use any public file sharing service, whichever is most convenient to you.

As for clearing resources - we do, but apparently not all :)
