Title: Camera behavior
Post by: Tchey on April 09, 2014, 03:49:27 AM
Hi,

I think my ship is too much in the middle of the screen, even if i move the mouse far over. I feel quite useless to see behind me, i it would be better in my opinion to have the ship more close to the edge of the screen when flying.

Also the zoom level is a little to short, but maybe if the camera is moved it will be better.

Better, an option to set it according to players preference.

Threats, missiles, hostiles, and other players come from 360 degrees. And since we are simulating the experience of being in a ship, ship sensors scan in all directions.

The option to set the camera, maybe, but I'd flat-out hate it if my ship flew at one arbitrary edge of the screen for some reason. I'm my even sure what is gained there.

Not trying to be a jerk about it, just participating in the discussion and offering an alternate perspective.

By flying closer to the edge of the screen, i mean doing that according to where i point the mouse cursor, just like now actually, but in a greater extanse.

Gotcha.  Maybe even allow the view distance to be increased by the installation of a ship module?

Yep, could be nice, as for the radar (actually i don't see much difference with the civilian and an advanced model).
