Updated to 1.1.0 - sound is back but it seems I have a 'stuck' background noise now that won't go away. I noticed it after entering a station and it persists after leaving the station.

Unfortunately there are no record for this sound in the log. Can you describe it further? Is it alike a mining sound? Is it remains if you go to the main menu?
Just recorded a video of it - I'll upload here when it's up. I think it's the mining sound, yeah. It persists through menus, docking and undocking.
I see. It's a known issue, happens very rare, so we didn't paid enough attention to it. Will be fixed in the next build.

I don't know if this helps, but it happened again when I flew past an NPC who was mining - *their* mining sound is what got stuck. :)
