I've noticed that the nuclear missile is distance based which isn't a problem until you consider the destructive force of the weapon, and you've accidentally fired it as a reaction to 12 pirates while in cruise with a ship full of precious organs   . It probably wouldn't hurt to change the weapon so that it detonates after a given time (5 seconds perhaps?) and/or on impact, optionally a warning that it detonates based on distance traveled in the description so you don't have to use trial and error to figure it out.

I do enjoy the weapon greatly as it is now, I just don't know if anyone else is willing to sacrifice themselves in the name of science as many times to figure out how to use it properly. I know the first part of this is more of a suggestion but I wanted to let others who hadn't tinkered with it know how the nuke operates so they save themselves getting blown up.
Remember: Stop. Launch. Move.
