Random world generation

About the game map. The game should have a random generation world when reset like "dont starve together", you set stuffs at begin like quantity of biome 1,2,3 vulcan biome; 1,2,3 tropical florest, number of ruin and etc. This random generation would be good for ppl that is playing a wile donĀ“t pall of the game and at PvP server for example ppl will have to explore to find where is those strategic resources. I know that adm intend to add new maps at DLC in the future but instead add news maps could add just new biomes and item and make all random generation maps at start of the server.

Would make the game more interesting since I enjoy PVE and spend most of my time exploring the map. I would like the option to restart and use a different map. It would be nice to keep you skill levels, but that may be asking a little much. I could understand losing all the tech since a new world may be different but your mind could still be intact (thus an argument for keeping skills??)

Maybe in single player could allow that option to keep technology points for the next map.

Hello!

I hope eventually we could implement it. Procedurally generating the map is possible. It's just a lot of effort to implement this feature especially if you want a meaningfully-looking terrain with randomized points of interest such as ruins/radtowns, volcanoes, etc. We have plenty of other features and content to work on for the near future as you can see in our Trello Roadmap page.

BTW, the game is completely moddable so I can imagine someone might attempt implementing a procedural generation even before we will get a chance to experiment with this idea.

Regards!
