It's nice, but we simply wouldn't be able to manage that. If we start managing plugins then we wouldn't have time to make the actual game...
It could take not too much of your time.
You can contact Curse Network authors directly and if they will show some interest in your game they can provide you a ready-to-use platform for mods and other community goodies (as they did for bukkit and many other commercial or non-commercial projects). But of course it can be a plan only for some distant future.

What can we do right now? Well, forum section is the easiest way, but it's not very flexible and you'll end up with either wasting too much time for moderation or having semi-ordered chaos.
I think it's far more better to have an organized catalogue for mods, but there are no freely distributed engines for that. You can take one of the very powerful engines such as modx or drupal and build something on top of that, but it still requires too much work time.
Or you can wait until someone from the community do something like that for you. Actually, i can do that (i'm working as a linux admin and a web developer), but i'm not sure right now that my effort will do any good for me (i mean i'm not sure whether such catalogue is needed by someone or not). Also i'm not too good in design, so i definitely need some help.

However, it's up to you how you'll support the community.

Yeah, but i think that just a forum section is not enough.

Check out bukkit dev site (for example -
Every plugin here have it's own information page, wiki, files directory and issues tracker.
Which is really really nice.

There's actually a plenty of information on scripting here:
Oh, sorry, i didn't think that the wiki already have this info.
No more questions right now :)

And returning to the topic - i personally would like to see some js scripting examples, related to VE. It's not too clear right now. How to call your own script? Are function calls hardcoded somewhere in the engine?

Hi, I've been trying to make various changes to core.cpk and my own .mpk files but when i start up game it says can't read them as a zip file. A tutorial would be useful as I can't seem to make any changes without breaking it. Tried to repack as a zip but no good. Any help appreciated.
It's probably about the compression method.
The easiest way is to download 7-zip and pack your mod files just like that:

This is an english speaking forum, so please don't include replies in other languages.
Then you should probably add some forum rules.
You're the boss, sorry for that.

I didn't think about game balance (yet), this is just a quick try to make sure that it's possible to create mods right now.

P.S. Эй, это не коммунистические звезды, просто из меня хреновый дизайнер :)
