Faction claim storage
« on: March 13, 2021, 08:58:30 am »

I was considering opening up faction to random applications and gave up when saw no option to control faction claim access to storage, farming, crafting stations and so on, if this is not to complicated to do, could use permission option, especially for storage, by rank or even by player, other systems like permissions on vehicles could be used or a simple faction specific storage container and keep other containers individual even when inside faction claim, not sure if that simple but just a thought,

With a public faction, you can already customize faction member access to the base:

1. Members without any role never have land claim management permission (which includes managing doors, construction/deconstruction/relocation, etc). So if you don't assign a role to a stranger that just joined your faction, they're very limited in what they can do on faction-owned bases (basically, they can only enter it over the doors with "all members" access setting, and interact with structures in rooms they can enter; they cannot build, configure access, etc).

2. Make rooms and configure their doors to open only to particular roles in your faction. So players without roles or with different roles will be unable to enter there.

3. You can also build armored safes that (unlike simple crates) have an option to customize the access ownership.
