I donΓÇÖt understand the difference between the two modes of the turret
Hello!
There are two modes.
In both modes, the turrets will always attack your enemies (faction war declarations are used to determine who are your enemies).
Depending on the mode, they can also attack neutrals that step on your faction territory (trespassers! that's the second mode) or ignore them until they attack your base (deal any damage to any structure).

Automatically attack all targets except friendly
Thank you for the suggestion, but it is likely we won't add it, as we don't want turrets to be used as an area denial tool. E.g. placing them near the entrance to the desert or such. We want turrets to be purely a defensive tool.
