Trying the Steam Version for the first time, on Win7 64 bits computer now.

After installation, right after Steam finishs the install process with Windows Redistributable stuff, i have an error : program VoidExpanse.exe crashed, stop the process or try to find a solution. I stop the process, and game starts. Then when i start a new game, i have a console opened, and the game is not responding. I have to close the console and wait a little before the game works again. Efter that, new ingame error : can't setup local game server. Try again. Console. Close the console. Erroe again when i try to create a new word, close the error, try again.

Now i'm ingame.

I talk to Joe, go out (i like the new UI), save and quit. Crash. Console opened. Close the console. Back to game.

Hello,

I'm now running with Linux Xubuntu 14.10 64 bits, on my main computer (previously Win7, and Linux on old eeePC only). If you still need some testing, i'm in.

Are you planning to release 1.0 series after 0.9, or you will go to 0.10 ? When is 1.0 ? What is the content planned for 1.0 according to your new knwoledge and timetable ?

That part is exactly what i was looking for, thanks. I'm not sure i will do anything, but still i could see a few things and understand some basic mechanics, so it's good.

I've tested the flamer, i don't really like to use it. It's way too short range and not enough powerful to balance that, i think. Also, i find strange to have flame like this in space. Maybe simply change the color and name, something like "blue magnetic vomit" or "green corrosive spit". I would keep the short range but boost the damage, but i'm not sure...

Another thing about the mod : i can't find anywhere a mining device better than civilian, so i can't mine advanced ores. Same goes for the grappler, only civilian ones are available. I've been to all kind of stations in different systems and factions. I'm now level 25 and working my way to join the Order.

Modding info / Step by step to create a simple mission ?

Hi, i would like to create a campaign, but i know nothing about modding, so i must start with something small, like a single simple mission. I have no idea where to start, how to start, what to do, etc. I've read a little the wiki but i don't understand much. I've never modded a game before, i want to learn, but i need the very first steps to be explain clearly.

Hi there,

I play a little to the lastest version of the game, with only one mod, Breaching the Hull. I did one mission about slavery, where i went pretending to be a slave buyer, then save someone, from an Order guy in a station. The mission was successful, then i went outside the station, questing for advanture, mining some ore, and back to the station before leaving the game.


Now i loaded my saved game and on my journal i had to do this slavery mission again. I didn't have to kill or lie to the slavers, i only had to gather the victim and go back to the station.

So i went out the station and back again before saving. Now it seems the game is stuck into the loading screen. I can fix my game if i press Esc during the loading screen, which brings the option to save and exit again. Then i have to exit the game, and launch it again. Only then i can continue my previous game (and the mission with slaves is completed).

Thanks for the mod, and for the upcoming update(s) !

AtomicTorch should copy/buy/borrow your ideas. The mod is very interesting, more readable and deeper than the vanilla system, both about graphics and gameplay.
