Thank you for your replies over email!

For anyone curious about the issue:
The issue was caused by OneDrive syncing the files to the cloud whenever the game written anything to the drive (it saves "sprint toggle" value, camera zoom value, etc user preferences).
The solution is to relocate the game data folder from OneDrive to a different location.

A "Sprint" key? Hmm, the topic is created in VoidExpanse forum section (the game we've released in 2015) but now I realize that you're probably writing about CryoFall. Please confirm!
CryoFall has much more advanced logging which can at least help us to narrow the subsystem where the freeze happens. Please send us the game logs at support@atomictorch.com

Hello!
0.5s freeze is not a micro-stuttering but rather a serious freeze. Of course, if there was an actual issue with the game we would have noticed it long ago. I don't recall any reports of this issue since the game was released in 2015. We've played the game ourselves and never encountered it too (I've just run it and tried pressing Shift while flying as well as in the inventory menu, no stuttering whatsoever).
It's reasonable to assume there is something else causing the issue in your case. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions except the usual steps (update the drivers, check third-party software that might interfere with the same).

Sadly, there is no such option. The character transfer mechanism for New Game + was implemented for the server owner only (after requesting to start the New Game +, the owner's data is temporarily stored on the client side and after logging in on the local server the client is requesting to restore this data in the new world into the new character; the same mechanism cannot work for other players).
Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to quickly rework it to support the transfer of all the characters registered on the server—it requires a totally different mechanism...

As a workaround, the local server's owner can use cheats to add learning points and skills to any registered character on the server. Press `~` to open the console then you can use the following commands:

Set Learning Points to 10000:
Code: [Select]
/player.setLP 10000 PlayerNameHere
Set all skills to level 10:
Code: [Select]
/skills.setAll 10 PlayerNameHere
Set specific skill to level 10:
Code: [Select]
/skills.set Lumbering 20 PlayerName
(you can use autocomplete; use vertical arrows, Tab and Enter to navigate the autocomplete options)

New features:
    - New biome: Arctic (can be found above Boreal biome).   
    - New monsters: Brood nest, Brood guardian, Brood drone (a reliable source of Keinite, available in the Artic biome).
    - New wild animals: Polar bear, Polar wolf.   
    - New item: Canned coffee which can be unlocked in Tier 4 Canning technology group.
    - New exclusive skins for Supporter Pack owners (four new CryoFall-themed skins for Heavy rifle, Heavy machine gun, Assault armor and helmet).   
    - New skins (for all energy and exotic weapons).
    - New status effects: Cold and Frostbite.
    - Fire, stove, furnace, generators, etc. will now give off heat helping you stay warm in the cold environment of the newly added Arctic biome.
    - Updated map with the new biome and a few minor changes.   

Changes:   
    - Increased attack range (+10%) for Revolver to give it a bonus compared to other weapons of the same tier (previously Luger had a similar bonus).
    - Bosses are able to damage hoverboards now.
    - Public faction members are displayed on the map (same as for the private faction).
    - Vehicles can be transferred to faction ownership for the public faction (same as for the private faction; a disclaimer will prevent accidental vehicle transfer to the faction ownership).
    - Increased Compost tumbler organic capacity by 4 times.
    - Neural recombinator (a special device to reset the tech tree) now has shortened usage cooldown—it cannot be used more often than once per 24 hours in multiplayer and once per 4 hours on local server (as the local server is usually played intermittently compared to a multiplayer server which is usually kept running 24/7).
    - Destroying farm plants (even the spoiled ones) will provide some fibers (same as when harvesting spoiled plants).
    - Increased trading station maximum lot cost. Also, the default tab for trading station owners is "Stock" now to make it faster to refill the stock.

Technical & modding:
    - Editor: Improved Zones tool—now it will display the list of zone names for the zones present under the mouse cursor.
    - Added server-side notification localization (e.g. errors for structure placement returned by the server will be displayed in the language selected by the player now).
    - Upgraded to .NET 6 Runtime.

Fixes:
    - Sand Tyrant's explosions were triggered early by explosions from grenades and keinite cannon.
    - Corrected draw order for mech cannon muzzle flashes.
    - Added "muzzle flash" for Spitter and Drone creatures, Nemesis mech weapons.
    - Improved tile decals selection algorithm to prevent multiple decals of the same layer (draw order) to be selected for the same tile.
    - Neural recombinator returned Learning points that were spent not only on the tech research but also on the faction level upgrades.
    - When exploding a meteorite with mining charges the loot scattered a bit too far away from it.
    - It was possible to configure a buying lot in a trading station to require an amount higher than the maximum stack size for the particular item.

Important:
    - This update is compatible with the savegames from the previous (R30-R32) versions (you can upgrade your server to the new version and continue playing). However, new content (such as the Arctic biome and creatures there) is available only when you play on the new map (it's not possible to update the map). Therefore, if you're playing on the local server we would recommend finishing the current save (escape the planet) and then using the New Game + feature with which your character will be transferred to a new world while retaining the unlocked skills, technologies, etc.
    - Community server owners can choose whether to update (server update guide) or not (we're providing legacy R32 client version in Steam Client -> CryoFall Game properties -> BETAS tab)
    - Some mods may be not updated by their authors to support this version. You can contact the mod authors to ask them to update their mods.

Thank you for your feedback.
For the context, in this topic we're discussing the PvP resource domination mechanic and in particular oil and Li deposits that PvP players can capture. It doesn't apply to PvE servers (there is no such mechanic).

1. The oil and Li resource deposits are not infinite. When you hover your mouse cursor over them you will see how much time they will remain in the current location (even if they're not actively mined). Once that time has passed, the resource deposit is destroyed and respawns within 30-60 minutes. The online players receive a notification about the deposit spawn and can go to attempt capturing the resource deposit (the event lasts around 30 minutes, the notification requires learning Xenogeology tech from Tier 3).

2. You can build extractors without capturing a deposit—the output will be 4 times lower but it's reasonable considering that it's practically risk-free. Though it will not provide your faction with the faction points for controlling resource deposits.

3. Besides, you can gather oilpods in the temperate and boreal forests, and mine lithium salts in the desert. So there are alternative sources of oil/Li as well!

4. Regarding the idea that you've proposed that the shield should drop on all the bases simultaneously. Imagine some players that are playing in a group. They will be extremely unhappy if every time anyone of them joins the game all their bases are losing the shield (and so could be raided very easily). It will make the game just unplayable for the majority of players that have groups, and it will also discourage players from playing outside their group's prime time (resulting in a lower online number overall) as nobody wants to risk their primary base by simply going online.
The current approach allows players to have several independent bases (often managed by different members inside the faction). Many player factions on the servers such as Global PvP have an almost 24/7 presence due to some faction members playing in different time zones.

I'm glad it works now. Please note that I'm not the maker of this mod—it was made by Djekke initially and lately it's maintained by Mars24—the version you have just downloaded contains numerous changes to make it compatible with R32 Update as well as bring some improvements.

Ensure that you've edited the ModsConfig.xml file to add this mod.
It should work fine.
