It seems good. I started an Industrial guy now. I didn't play since a long time, the assets are really nice, clean, neat, readable... I remember i thought it was pretty, and it's still very pretty. If only i could mix Drox Operative with VoidExpanse, it would be the perfect Hack'n'slash in space...

So far i only grind some roids to buy the Heretic, and now i'm heading to a freaky fan. Not sure if i will kill him or not, yet.

Great ! I've been checking daily, it's done : http://atomictorch.com/Post/Id1175/VoidExpanse-Pariahs-Bane

QuotePrepurchase the game in our Store right now to receive your copy the second it is released as well as an additional Steam key!

Does it mean i get 2 copies of the game's expansion ? Or one DRM free version + a Steam key ?

Ho, much sooner than i expected. Depending on price, i'll buy it for sure. I suppose it will support Linux as well as the main game ? No beta before launch ?

Does it have a name yet ? And an ETA, like, before summer, end of the year... ?

What this expansion is about? Here's a little hint: a lot of you guys asked for the possibility of becoming a pirate… Well, it's not exactly that, but hopefully you will like it! So wait for the future updates and don't forget to check our blog. If VoidExpanse is something you are interested in you will certrainly find this expansion to your liking!

Hello,

After being more or less active during Void's developpement, and sadly disappointed by Dinocide (unsolved Linux troubles, and too light gameplay), i still have good feelings toward AtomicTorch Studio, and i wonder what will be your next step, if any ?

Game discussion / Dinocide - internet reviews
January 24, 2016, 01:21:52 PM
Hello,

From what i've seen, internet reviews are pretty bad. Mostly, it's said Dinocide gives nothing new, and only surf on the retro-nostalgic wave, in a lazy way.

I'm sad to agree in some extend. I still quite like it, but i'm also disappointed by the lack of depth and audacity. It's simply a medium 8bits games, even if it was released 20 years ago.

It's not a bad game, just... a game.

What personaly disturbed me, is some parts of the game i thought in Alpha were placeholders, are in the Release version. For example that stupid pig-zombi-pirate mob. It's completly out of place.

Also, Dino choices are not relevent, because each stage only has one dino to fit with. It would have been better to have different options depending on the dino i pick for a given stage. For example a lava way in a desert stage could lead to some special places and bonuses, but it's not really like this.

It's good to keep inventory and dinos, but it's not "enough". I kind of enjoy it, but i won't play it more than one or two completed runs, i guess.

I'm curious to see what others think, and what you will do about your game now it's out (patch, DLC, free addition, nothing, etc).

Bug reports & help / Linux - screen flickering ingame
January 22, 2016, 09:04:01 AM
Hello,

I tried the full release now, via Steam. Menu are fine, but when i'm in the stage, controling my toon, the screen is shaking a little from time to time, and flifkering, with large lines across the view. I tried to capture it but it's not on the screenshot, they look "normal". Restarting Steam or the system doesn't change it.

Playing on Linux Mint 17.3 64 bits

Game discussion / Back in timer
December 07, 2015, 04:04:17 AM
Hello,

I'm not fan of the timer. I never like timers, in any games. I like to look at details, explore, try things... With a timer, i just want to rush and go the the end as quickly as possible, sure it's the goal of a timer, but it wastes content, in my opinion.

Also, i don't like timer linked to health. I'd prefer if i have maybe only 1 hit, upgradable to 2 hits maybe, and after i'm out of hits, then the timer starts and i can remove it with food.

So, i start with no timer, and i can be hit once.

If i don't have hit left, the timer starts, faster than the one we have now (10 seconds ?)

If i eat a fruit, the timer stops, and i have one hit again.

Later i can improve my hits, so i can take 2 hits before the timer starts.

With a dino i can take 3 hits. First hit removes the dino. Second hit remove one hit... Last hit starts the timer.

For boss, there is no food, so i must kill the boss without taking a hit, or within 10 seconds, so it's safer to bring a dino so i can take one hit "safely". Then you love your dino more.
