A29 Update is coming in December and we've added several major improvements that you will be happy to hear about.
1 and 3. We're adding barbed wire fences in A29. Players can shoot through them but cannot go through. We will consider adding traps and mines later.
2. Players suggested roofs but there are problems with this idea. My thoughts about it are posted here https://forums.atomictorch.com/index.php?topic=1505.msg8173#msg8173
4. A29 will bring a full-featured Clans/Factions system with alliances (peace treaties) and war declarations.
5. We've intentionally don't allow storing any raw resources in the land claim safe storage as when it was possible (there were such times!) players used to abuse the system by building more land claims and storing resources (especially pragmium) there. It made raiding not interesting so we've found a compromise solution between no safe storage and limited safe storage.
7. We're planning to add more structures and items but first, we want to fill T4-T5 with more stuff (especially T5 as it's mostly empty now).
8. Currently, players are progressing by what they do, by gaining levels for corresponding skills so their character becomes better in this activity (e.g. miners can mine faster, fighters fight better, crafters can craft faster and have more crafting slots, etc). We may consider expanding this system further by adding more perks for high level of each skill, but we certainly don't wish to limit players artificially by telling them "you've chosen a wrong occupation".
