Thanks for log. I have found same issue when running game on my home Mac, will fix it with the next version.Seems to crash when entering a station
UPD. Playing now on your server. It shut down after 30 seconds... will fix ASAP!
Unfortunately savegame system not working properly and some other minor issues present. v0.9.4 released. You are killing me :D wtb autoupdate server function or linux patches :P
Thanks for supporting us!
Thanks for updating! v0.9.5 was promoted to stable now :-).Do I need to redownload the 0.9.5 client? or is the stable the same as the experimental now? Cause if I have to redownload... :P
Just a friendly heads-up that your server has been unresponsive for over 12 hours. I tried to log into it last evening, but I wasn't able to contact the server via the games lobby. Hope everything is well. Cheers!Getting it checked, not at home at the moment so I can't login to the server.
Oh... we have found a bug which crashes the server sometimes... new version coming soon!Ah ok, do you need my server logs?
kyokei,It's using 1.3gb ram atm and 5% cpu on idle... which seems normal for the latest versions.
thanks for updating. Did you notice any memory leak with the server? I have this issue on my Mac (Mono 2.10).
kyokei, is issue with merchants reproducible in v0.9.7 with the new savegame slot? And what about memory consumption? So far CPU and mem consumption seem normal again, around 5% cpu and 570mb RAM. I haven't played yet on Kunix as I updated it late last night and then went to bed :) Will keep you updated
UPD: we just released v0.9.7c, it's client only update, so no need to update server!
IsPublicServer: Is this server is a public server (the it will be announced in a servers list of the Master Server). (0/1)
(default was 0, changed it to 1 now for the future versions).
Was it down yesterday? For some reason I didn't see your server online yesterday when I wanted to try testing something a bit.
Try console command "debug_gc" in server console please - what it will print?
The high CPU usage will be solved with the next release. Hope we can decrease the memory usage also.
That's strange - we didn't do any changes which can affect idle mode. Will check on Linux & Mac soon.Running at 584 mb ram and 5-7% cpu on idle... I saw that you removed some debug code... maybe something in there was useful? :P
Received your logs, thanks!cpu was at around 4% idle, ram at around 300mb... i PM'ed you some more information.
Yes, 32-bit mono is only for 32-bit Linux as I wrote above...
The server is reachable.
What about the CPU/memory usage?
<fps>40</fps>
<fps_network_physics_update>20</fps_network_physics_update>
<fps_update_ship_params>7</fps_update_ship_params>
Am I only one playing there? :-) I have already played around 20+ hours on the server and noone found :) How is it the game with the "ram" and "Cpu" consumption when there is more players? And on what "iron" do you host the server :)\
Thanks for updating) get ready for the Steam players! :-)Get ready to hotfix the VE server for multithreading :D:D <3
Get ready to hotfix the VE server for multithreading :D:D <3I'm ready =-). But first we need to measure how many active players a normal server can handle and what subsystems require rewriting for multithreading first.
I'm ready =-). But first we need to measure how many active players an usual server can handle and what subsystems requires rewriting for multithreading first.Totally agree - Before I was updating the server there was someone on kunix and I saw that the cpu was spiking at 80% sometimes... kinda got me worried.
we were there at 6 people max i think and it run smoothawesome, I do know that due the server software not having multithreading that the cpu is starting to get capped (50% at 4 players) so I wonder how it will be.
Is the game server running too laggy/choppy on Linux?I was reading through past chatlogs and saw some complaints about choppyness - and the world saving taking 8 seconds - seems it's the same on my Windows VM so I think this is related to my server =( nothing you can help with
We've tested around 15 people online on a one russian server (Win) and performance was quite good.
Hy Kyokei, the server is down since yesterday. Could you restart it? :) ThanksIt's up again - sorry for this - bundled launcher is breaking
Hy Kyokei, I see your server, but I cannot really connect to it.Might have been due to my ISP getting DDOS'd. Try now if it works - if not then I'll give it a reboot
It's just stuck on loading, is it me or is something wrong with the server? It also takes a longer time to appear on the serverlist.
PS: US-Server is fine :)
Hey Kyokei, please reboot the server again. Inventory is not displayed correct and ships jump around (very laggy).
Done!Thank you very much, its very smooth now :)
@Lurler/AI, are you OK if I give you a dump of all the logs so you can spit through them?It would be a bit difficult without specific reports for each problem, but I guess it would never hurt to look at the error messages at least.

RebootedWell, it's been almost 3 weeks. The server needs a reboot kyokei :)
very awesome news, I'm getting annoyed with rebooting the kunix server :PCould you set an automatic reboot at a specific time? Like 5am or something like that.
Updated to 1.6
Steam updated to 1.6.1 now I cannot join the server.Annnnd try now, something must have gone wrong last time when I did the update.
Is there a way to un-update / downgrade?
There is another bug though, the healthbars are flickering. I will report that later.Could you record a video of this bug please? Thanks!
Can you maybe direct it to kunix.org instead of the IP?Unfortunately, currently it's not possible - because most IP addresses doesn't have correct PTR record for the reverse DNS lookup. So, in your case:
nslookup 83.85.69.80
Name: 53554550.cm-6-6b.dynamic.ziggo.nl
Address: 83.85.69.80
I'm ready to decommission the server totally, is there anyone who would still want the savegame?Hi Kyokei,
