We are hoping to add an upgrade system in the future that would allow you to upgrade different items with new effect, but the same system will be used for generating items with random properties!
Sounds nice ^^ By saying "random properties" do you mean random stats (+X in damage, ammo or recharge rate for a weapon for exemple) or something like a random bonus effect (+X in a random skill) ? I m wondering because the key element in the fact that hack & slash games have an infinite lifespan is clearely the fact that you ll always be looking for an improvement from loots obtained as far as getting an item with the best possible roll for each stats is virtually impossible. Which also means that the random range for all stats has to be wide to prevent you from getting an item with maxed stats everywhere and keep your interest in looting stuff to get an upgrade in your equipment.

Hi all,

As far as games such as VoidExpanse share a lot of similarities with hack and slash games, i guess that using the same random stats from a specific stat-range for items could provide the same infinite lifespan to VoidExpanse than in any game based on loots such as all Diablo-likes.

For exemple every light laser looted should be generated from such a stat-range :

QuoteLight Laser

Damage : [110-130] (DPS : [110-130])
Max ammo : [90-110]
Recharge : [9-11] sec. (for X energy)

So only items sold at stations should have fixed stats and value.

With such a randomized stat system players would continue playing the game forever as far as getting the best possible items with maxed stats everywhere would take more than a human lifetime ^^

Help section / Re: Game stopped saving!

Hi there.

I ve bought the game on STEAM at release and i had no issue with the save feature until your last patch. But now the only way to have the game saved at random times is to activate the 5/10/15 min auto-save stuff that i disabled previously and hope for the game to be saved when entering a station or a new system. That's quite of a game breaking stuff  :'(

Here are my log files : https://mega.co.nz/#F!WUQXVIbb!-6WjMj9ljiV2I47U8I5_aA (https://mega.co.nz/#F!WUQXVIbb!-6WjMj9ljiV2I47U8I5_aA).

Also i noticed that you said that some antivirus seem to delete saves. I m using BitDefender Internet Security 2015 and i haven't any report of BitDefender deleting anything in the past few days (i would have had a notification from BitDefender and something in its logs to trace such an event).
