[!] Cannot do anything in game besides basic actions

Hello, if I could please get some help with this, it would be highly appreciated. 

I cannot seem to do anything in game that isn't basic actions.
I can: Pick items up, gather, craft, cook, eat, drink.
I cannot: Fight enemies, water plants, plant plants, place constructs, build.

I am playing on a multiplayer LAN server with one other person. I am not the owner of the server.
I am not the owner of the land claims, but I have full permission for them.
I am a diplomat in the fraction. The land claims have diplomat ticked for access within them.
I cannot fight enemies in or out of the land claims.

If the issue is not resolved please clarify what do you mean exactly by "cannot fight enemies" in particular. Do you cause any damage to creatures (such as wolves and snakes)? Is there any error message?

In PvE you have limited permissions when interacting with other players and their property. You need to own the land claim in order to access structures built on the base.
As it's a LAN multiplayer server you can ask your friend to edit the server settings to enable PvP. This way there will be almost no restrictions regarding the interactions with other players and their property on the server.
