In the just released v1.0.2 (experimental build) experience curve is much easier, so you can gain levels faster and get more skill points.
If the game still too hard for you, you can expect an "easy game" mod from the community :-).

Received your logs, thanks!
Yes, 32-bit mono is only for 32-bit Linux as I wrote above...
The server is reachable.
What about the CPU/memory usage?

Hello!
Thanks for reporting!
What version of Windows you have?
Do you have any "UI-enhancing" software installed, such as WindowsBlinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds)?
We cannot reproduce the issue on our PC's, but sure, there are only several possible reasons for that, so it will be fixed anyway. Just need to be sure about Windows version.
Regards!

Yes, please send me the logs in private, I will look on it.
About memory usage - I still haven't not found a way to do it on Linux, but on Windows you just need to use the 32-bit Mono, so the game will run in 32-bit environment and use 50% less memory than in 64-bit... Now the only way to use 32-bit Mono on Linux is to use 32-bit Linux I think...

You're right, the experience curve is too step! We mistakenly set coefficient for it, and it seems that for the next level you need 10 times more experience, than you have now... ooops!
It will be fixed with the next build, working on it now! We'll test it with the your savegame to be sure everything is fixed.

Hello!
If you see notifications in upper left corners, saying you gain some experience after killing NPC - then you actually gain experience. But it may be not displayed properly in the skills window.
This may happens because we've changed the experience-lvl curve: made it harder to gain new levels... you loaded the savegame from 1.0.0, where experience curve was much easier, so your ship level is already too high level for the experience you have (the level should be lower with the new experience-lvl curve), but the game cannot lower the level. So you just need to play more, gain more experience, and you will gain new level(s).

Bug reports / Re: 1.0.1b AI Freighter pathfinding bug
February 01, 2015, 08:15:46 PM
I've looked at logs and can't found the source of issue, but I can see that pathfinder is overloaded... so we will debug it and try to reproduce the issue - thanks for the provided savegame!
Quote from: southbound on February 01, 2015, 05:59:10 AMI was doing pretty well in that save - if I went on a killing spree and cleared out all the freighters, would that resolve the problem within that save?
Sure, but it may be any NPC in the star system who overloaded AI pathfinder... but usually the issue is only for current star system, so if you go to the another star system, it should be resolved.

Hello! Thanks for reporting!
Usually it happens when the AI pathfinder is overloaded by routes calculation - maybe some faulty route can't be resolved...
To help us resolve the issue, please upload the Logs folder (located at Documents/AtomicTorchStudio/VoidExpanse/Logs) and send us a link on it.
Regards!

That's strange - we didn't do any changes which can affect idle mode. Will check on Linux & Mac soon.

Hello!
Could you try to launch the game server manually please? It's located at the game folder/Server_dotNET/VoidExpanse.Server.exe
If it runs successfully, please send us archive of the logs folder (Documents/AtomicTorchStudio/VoidExpanse/Logs) to help us investigate the issue.
Regards!
